The Collaborative process

I like to post these every now and then. A little example of how Bill Sienkiewicz and I are working together on Green Arrow/ Black Canary. On the left, my pencils. On the right, Bill's finishes with colors by David Baron.

Why do you put so much into your pencils when he totally "un-draws" them? It's like he takes your layouts and completely re-styles it. I love the finished work, but your drawings on the left seem completely finished and it seems you're doing so much more work than you need to given the final product, especially when he pulls out things that must take time like the the crab and the foot.

Hi Mike,

It's beautiful; would you kindly post some sample art ot "Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam #13" when you are able.

Many thanks
